Funding and Support
It’s often during the periods in our lives when we’re most in need of ADHD support, we are least able to afford it. Yet it’s our unmanaged ADHD which needs to be addressed before we can move from worrying about surviving financially to investing in ourselves and thriving.
If this catch-22 sounds familiar, you’re not alone. External funding allowed me to get the coaching I needed while setting up self-employed. Here’s how you can get the help you need, when you need it most.
Access to Work
Access to work (often abbreviated to AtW) is funded by the Department for Work and Pensions. The scheme:
- exists to remove barriers to, and friction at, work related to any illness, impairment, or disability.
- is a way of funding a substantial block of coaching.
- Applies to you if you are in, or are soon to start, work and suspect you have ADHD
- Does not require a diagnosis
A range of supports from coaching to variations of coping strategies training are recommended and approved by AtW. I can tailor my approach to align with , and support you in managing your most impactful symptoms – such as burnout, organisational and/or motivational challenges, emotional regulation, and much more. This does not need to focus exclusively on work. Our lives outside work impact how we show up at work, and our ADHD does not respect these boundaries either.

The ADHDharma Bursary Scheme
ADHDharma exists, above all, to support the ADHD community. If other sources of funding are not available to you, or you need immediate support while waiting for funding such as Access to Work to be approved, we may still be able to help.
There are a limited number of places available on a ‘pay what you can’ basis, topped up by our bursary scheme. Funding is being applied for to increase the number of these places that can be offered, and allow us to help everyone who needs it regardless of income.
Please apply by booking a discovery call. Just mention the bursary scheme and let me know your situation either on the form or the call itself.
